The fantastically talented POWERS haven’t had it all that easy recently. Singer Crista Ru, who makes up one half of the duo, bravely disclosed her private battle with cancer, but it hasn’t stopped them doing what they do best – making fantastic electropop records. ‘Just Kids’ is their new single, which is inspired by reading Patti Smith’s book by the same name. The track encapsulates everything we’ve come to love about POWERS – silky smooth vocals from Ru and Mike Del Costo’s full production. It’s no wonder to learn therefore that the duo cut their teeth co-writing for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Selena Gomez. Turn ‘Just Kids’ up loud and bask in its gorgeous melodies.
